Here’s a great little reprieve from the hip hop/rap/R&B focus this blog’s had the last month or so in the form of two minutes of perfect pop punk. Joyce Manor released a new album at the beginning of this month, and it’s been one of the few guitar-music things I’ve been listening to this week. This album clocks in at somewhere around 15 minutes, and the longest track on it is this one, which the band is giving away for free.
Hey! My friend’s band, formerly known as Agraya, just set up a new page with their new name, A Fallen Era, and I was wondering if you could help spread the word about them? They should be putting some stuff out soon! If you could help, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! :)

The Xx Could Change the World… What began as a duo between friends, Oliver Sim and Romy Madley-Croft at the early age of 15 has developed into a band with a hauntingly unique sound and melodious lyrics, known as the Xx. Of the two additional members who have joined the London bound group since, only Jamie Smith remains to this day. The band’s self-titled album is an unprecedented example of their distinct indie-pop genre being heightened by their subtle electronic tones. The music they create can be described as nothing less than absolute genius, and vastly differs from much of today’s mundane. Their producing prowess has been featured in much film and media, most recently in Rihanna and Drake’s hit, “Take Care,” produced by Smith. The Xx’s music can be described as nothing less than pure artwork, making one wonder just how far a single band can go with such astounding capabilities to influence and inspire their listeners.
